Fabricating ‘Chinook Arc’

These photos span the six month period when we fabricated ‘Chinook Arc’ by Joe O’Connell and Blessing Hancock. This is the largest sculpture we have ever built, and one of the most highly engineered. We did everything in house with the exception of manufacturing the space frame members. We built our own heat-forming oven to form the panels, our own 3D jigs to route them to shape, and welded all the supporting brackets and legs. #gallery-3 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-3 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-3 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
