Last week, our new temporary artwork shaped like a giant angler fish traveled to Mesa, Arizona for the Spark! Festival for Creativity. The Angler Fish is the first in a series that we are developing called In Dark Waters. The series will feature different bioluminescent sea creatures filled with glowing LEDs and covered in semi translucent material. Each creature is also interactive and will come alive with glowing lights and playful sounds.

At the Spark Festival, visitors were able to press buttons on the control panel in front of the angler fish and simultaneously control the sculpture’s lighting and play different sounds. People could also control the sounds’ pitch allowing them to play the fish like a giant instrument, which had kids and adults alike lining up to play with it. We hope to create more creatures soon that we can sent to other temporary light festivals around the world. #gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
