Twilight Garden Installed

We have completed and installed Twilight Garden, a short series of layered glowing acrylic sculptures. Kim Kwasny and Taylor Haynes went up to Phoenix to install the sculptures in the popular arts campus of downtown Mesa. These sculptures have been installed in a small plaza, adjacent to a transit stop of the Phoenix Valley Metro Light Rail System near W. Main Street and N. Country Club Dr. During the day, the sculptures appear as singular white acrylic forms, but begin to glow as the sun sets. Visitors also have the ability to change the color of each sculpture with a push of a button. #gallery-10 { margin: auto; } #gallery-10 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-10 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-10 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Our Creative Machines shop is located on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O'odham Nation. We are nestled in the heart of Tucson, Arizona, a vibrant, culture-rich city, both presently and historically. This land was home to some of the earliest people in North America, the Hohokam, and we honor and respectfully acknowledge the indigenous nations that have stewarded this land since time immemorial. Today, Arizona is home to 22 federally recognized tribes, with Tucson being home to the Tohono O’odham and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
