Scooter Deer
Set within the rolling hills of the 3bird Kids Foundation’s youth golf course, a surprising sight brings smiles and curiosity: a mobile herd of larger-than-life Scooter Deer. These three-wheeled cervids, playful silhouettes against the rolling hills, meandering creeks, and crisp-cut turf, offer a delightful blend of the familiar and the fantastically new. They evoke a sense of quiet surprise and creative wonder, accentuating the natural beauty of their surroundings. Thoughtfully designed for agility and easy repositioning, this whimsical herd can be effortlessly moved to various locations across the course. This dynamic quality ensures that each visit brings new discoveries. At team events near the clubhouse, the Scooter Deer become an engaging gathering point and offer an unrefusable opportunity to grab a selfie with the home herd. The Scooter Deer are a co-creation of Anton Morton at Kasum MANIFOLD and Joseph O’Connell at Creative Machines created for 3bird Kids Foundation which aims to provide an outlet for underprivileged youth to escape worldly chaos by immersing themselves in nature, art, and golf, fostering a better understanding of themselves and their surroundings.
Bringing the expandable heard of Scooter Deer to fruition was a truly collaborative effort, spanning continents and requiring meticulous coordination. The fabrication phases took place internationally across multiple studios, with components being crafted simultaneously in varied locations. This complex process demanded adept collaboration from the initial schematic design all the way through to final delivery, ensuring every detail aligned perfectly to realize our vision.
