Holiday for Technology is a ball machine created for the Allen Bradley Company in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. This large wall mounted Ball Machine Sculpture is located right outside of the Security Office for any visitors of the building to view. Holiday for Technology was specifically designed to create less noise than typical ball machines, so it contains more woodblocks and chimes, rather than having louder sound-producing elements like the xylophone bars. There are many other devices such as pendulum switches, loop de loops, rock backs, helices, and a dip series. The balls select one track to follow along by the means of pendulum switches; they choose a path to follow along at the top of the track and follow it all the way through to the bottom.

Our Creative Machines shop is located on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O'odham Nation. We are nestled in the heart of Tucson, Arizona, a vibrant, culture-rich city, both presently and historically. This land was home to some of the earliest people in North America, the Hohokam, and we honor and respectfully acknowledge the indigenous nations that have stewarded this land since time immemorial. Today, Arizona is home to 22 federally recognized tribes, with Tucson being home to the Tohono O’odham and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
