‘Chinook Arc’ starts to take shape

Elliot Hart and Kim Kwasny continue to install ‘Chinook Arc’ in Calgary with tremendous assistance from F & D Scene Changes. With the skin starting to come together, the true form of the sculpture is becoming apparent. Chinook Arc is a public art sculpture by Joe O’Connell and Blessing Hancock. Its form is inspired by the Chinook weather phenomena and various living organisms. The connection to living organisms is more than skin deep; the sculpture features steel legs, a space frame skeleton, acrylic skin, silicone ligaments, electronic eyes and a computer ‘brain’. #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
