We have been selected to design and fabricate our largest public art project yet, Wings Over Water! Wings Over Water was selected by the Houston First Corporation and the Houston Arts Alliance to be installed at the entrance of the George R. Brown Convention Center. As an interactive kinetic sculpture, Wings Over Water is going to be one of a kind. The monumental sculpture was inspired by the theme of migration which is one of the governing metaphors behind the architectural re-design of the convention center. Wings Over Water features two wings that beat continuously over the Fountain of the Americas, reflecting the movement of birds through a mechanical system.

Wings Over Water is planned to install mid-2016. #gallery-9 { margin: auto; } #gallery-9 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-9 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-9 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Our Creative Machines shop is located on the ancestral lands of the Tohono O'odham Nation. We are nestled in the heart of Tucson, Arizona, a vibrant, culture-rich city, both presently and historically. This land was home to some of the earliest people in North America, the Hohokam, and we honor and respectfully acknowledge the indigenous nations that have stewarded this land since time immemorial. Today, Arizona is home to 22 federally recognized tribes, with Tucson being home to the Tohono O’odham and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
